A little bit about EvoMasher

I grew up around collecting, starting with my dad.  My dad was a collector of movies.  He would always buy the new VHS movies as they came out.  He had hundreds and hundreds of them.  Being surrounded by that, I learned that if you really like something you will continue to buy it.  When I was a little older, I would hang out with my cousin, who worked at a card shop, where I would sometimes help in the store as well as be around ball players that might be signing autographs.  My cousin would take me to card shows where I would meet players and get autographs, as well as help my cousin sell at the shows.  That's how my card collecting started. 

In  1985, when I was about 8 years old, while stopping the ice cream man for some ice cream, I saw a box of cards called Garbage Pail Kids.  This was something new that the ice cream man had and so I bought a couple packs for $.25 each.  Once I opened them and saw the stickers inside, I was hooked.  From there I would save my allowance and spend it all on garbage pail kids from the ice cream man and I would check all the stores my parents would go to to see if they sold them.  Any money I had went to buying them.  I have collected them ever since. 

Since then, I have collected cards made of my favorite tv shows and movies, along with any other items and memorabilia from those shows.  In 2009 I started watching the shows Hardcore Pawn and Pawn Stars.  Those shows gained my interest in anything that could be collectible and taught me that I could branch out my collection to many things.  Around 2010 I became interested in gold.  I watched the Gold Rush series and was fascinated to the point that I started ordering gold pans and paydirt.  Seeing the gold at the bottom of the pan gave me an instant gold rush.   Going to different creeks and using different equipment, I would try to find gold in the wild.  I was bit by the gold bug.

Now, I want to share my collection with all of you.  I want to add my collection to your collection and add your collection to mine.  I want this to be a place where collectors can enjoy themselves and build their collections as I build mine. A place where tips and information is shared to all who are interested.  A place where collectors can be collectors and meet other people with the same interests.
